Website Tips for Beginners

A good website does not need fancy design. It needs a clear purpose, useful content and a layout that works on a phone. These tips will help you build the basics properly.

1. Pick one clear purpose

Decide what your website is for before you build it. A site that does one thing well, like saving links, teaching a skill or reviewing products, is easier to understand and easier to rank than a site that tries to do everything.

2. Design for mobile first

Most visitors in India browse on a phone. Use a responsive layout, readable text size (at least 16px), and buttons that are easy to tap. Test your pages on a real phone, not only on a computer.

3. Keep navigation simple

4. Write for people, not for search engines

Use simple words, short paragraphs and clear headings. Answer the visitor's question quickly, then add details. Copying text from other websites hurts trust and can get you in trouble.

5. Add the trust pages

An About page, a working Contact page, a Privacy Policy and a Disclaimer show visitors that a real person runs the site. They are also expected if you plan to use advertising later.

6. Keep updating

Fix broken links, refresh old pages and add something useful regularly. A small site that is updated often looks more alive than a large site that was abandoned.
