YouTube Growth Tips

There is no secret trick to YouTube growth. Channels grow when viewers enjoy the videos, click on them and keep watching. These habits help you work in that direction.

1. Know who your video is for

Before you record, write one sentence: "This video helps [who] to [do what]." A clear audience makes your topic, title and script much stronger.

2. Hook viewers in the first 15 seconds

Tell viewers what they will get and start delivering it quickly. Long introductions, channel promotions and repeated greetings make people leave early.

3. Be consistent, not perfect

Choose an upload schedule you can really follow, for example one video a week. Consistency helps viewers form a habit, and every new video teaches you something.

4. Study your analytics

5. Talk to your viewers

Reply to comments, ask a question at the end of the video and use viewers' questions as ideas for new videos. A small active audience is worth more than a large silent one.

6. Follow the rules

Use only music, clips and images you have the right to use. Avoid misleading titles and spam tactics. Copyright and policy strikes can damage a channel badly.
